  • Monique Efta, Coodinator

Monique Efta is a born storyteller. Her upbringing in the Midwest left her with nothing much except Minnesota sushi (if you know, you know) and a wild imagination. Her early days in the church took her around the world; but a deep curiosity about how to capture what she saw led her away from her Midwest ministry ties and straight to Hollywood! She’s worked on a multitude of independent TV and film productions, including ‘Sin Raices,’ directed by Gabriella Moses which premiered at LALIFF and Miami Film Festival. She recently worked as the director of client relations at the budding and heavy-hitting Hollywood startup “AudPop.” Her goal is to create films that defy societal pressures of what should be and create an equitable space for underrepresented voices to be heard. She helms and produces independent productions for bold stories by passionate filmmakers.
